Venice and Prosecco

#artcities #nature #DOCwines

Elegance and bubbles. The tour starts in the unique city of Venice, where we can enjoy great classic landmarks, hidden gems, typical lunches in the traditional bacari and an unforgettable gondola tour. From the lagoon of Venice we move to the sinuous Prosecco hills, where beautiful villages surrounded by vineyards stand. We’ll explore the elegant Asolo, overlooked by a castle and walk among hilly vineyards. The best wineries of the region are to be found there: tasting Prosecco wine with a view over the hills will be one of the highlights of the trip.

Get inspired! This is a standard proposal.
Departure and return dates, duration of the trip, type of accommodation, experiences, transfers, meals and other services: the travel package will be created according to the desires and the needs of the Tour Operator and of the traveler.

Highlights

Program

DAY 1 – Arrival in Venice
Private watertaxi transfer to a hotel in Venice.

DAY 2 – Venice and cicchetti
Even if this is not the first time that you visit Venice, there is always something new to see. In the morning we explore the city with a tour guide that will explain the history of this incredible site. After a morning full of art and history, it’s time to lunch in a typical bacaro with cicchetti, the classic Venetian tapas, mostly fish-based, paired with great local wine. Free afternoon, get lost in the small alleys of Venice!

DAY 3 – Asolo and Valdobbiadene
We leave the lagoon of Venice behind and we move inland, where the sinuous hills of Prosecco rise. We visit the elegant village of Asolo, that features beautiful buildings both from medieval and Venetian time. Lunch in a typical restaurant near the hills. After lunch, the best way to digest is to walk along the panoramic path that leads to the Rocca, from where to admire the beautiful hilly landscape. Transfer to an agriturismo in Valdobbiadene.

DAY 4 – Prosecco
The day is totally dedicated to the main product of the region: Prosecco wine, the most exported Italian wine in the world. A easy walk among large vineyards nestled between beautiful hills leads to two of the greatest wineries of Valdobbiadene region. The tasting of prosecco wine is accompanied with a lunch with the typical spiedo, spit-roasted meat, a classic in the region. The visit of Follina or Cison di Valmarino adds a touch of charm to the day.

DAY 5 – Departure
