In the afternoon, sightseeing walking tour in the city centre passing by the most important monument and the Quadrilatero, today’s city market: walking around the narrow alleys full of little shops selling delicacies is a big temptation.

Welcome dinner in the hotel.

The visit of a dairy in this region is a must. To make this experience unforgettable we’’l taste organic cheese at a small producer whose factory looks like a temple with columns made of Parmigiano Reggiano.

After lunch in the beautiful city of Modena, we visit a traditional acetaia, where the renowned balsamic vinegar is produced: you have never tasted such a tasty balsamic!

Have you ever joined a truffle hunt? We meet a truffle expert and his dogs and all together we look for the precious truffle in beautiful forest in a hilly area. Finally, we taste the truffle we found combined with home-made pasta in a typical agriturismo.

In the afternoon, it is time to get involved in a cooking class, where we learn how to cook the best recipes of the region.

Parma ham is renowned but the ham from free-range black pigs bred in a natural way is a luscious rarity, and we’ll have the chance to visit the farm and taste its organic products. 

We leave the hills of Parma and we move towards Verona: our agriturismo welcomes us with a tasting of Valpolicella wines, all produced with organic farming method.

We’ll spend the whole day visiting Lake Garda and its villages. We first drop-by Sirmione, an enchanting town with a stunning castle and white cliffs. Lunch in an elegant Michelin-starred restaurant.

 

In the afternoon we move to Lazise, another beautiful village with a medieval castle, colourful houses, narrow alleys flanked by traditional shops and a lovely little port from where we can enjoy the sunset.

The beautiful city of Mantua is surrounded by lakes surrounded by lakes whose waters reflect the elegant Renaissance buildings of the historic center. Its city centre is a UNESCO heritage site, as well as Palazzo Te, a beautiful palace with stunning frescos.

After lunch we visit the village of Borghetto sul Mincio, a charming village built on the river Mincio, that features watermills and a romantic atmosphere.

The historical market of Padua is one of the best of the region: it’s hard to resist the temptation of buying some typical products in stalls and shops in the most beautiful squares of the city.

There is meat for lunch, cooked on stone right in front of us, the preparation is a show.

In the afternoon we’ll  head to Verona. Besides the city centre and the Arena, we add a romantic touch to the trip visiting Juliet’s balcony.

Euganean Hills are ancient volcanoes, now covered by lush vegetation and spotted with charming villages. Here, high-quality olive oil is produced: we taste some organic oil during the pressing period.

In the afternoon, we visit an ancient monastery, where a real monk shows us the art of herbal medicine and the preservation of ancient books.

The wine growing landscape of the prosecco wine production area has recently been listed as UNESCO heritage site thanks to beautiful landscapes of vineyards and lush hills. There, we taste some Prosecco in one of the most panoramic wineries of the region.

In the afternoon we move to Treviso, beautiful city crossed by many canals and spotted with medieval buildings: here Tiramisù was invented, the most famous Italian dessert.

The lagoon of Venice is a magical place, both if the sun is shining or if it is foggy. We board on a private boat and we visit the island of the lagoon. We first disembark in Mazzorbo, a farming and residential island where rare vineyards are flanked by artichoke cultivation.

Burano – linked with a small bridge – is slightly different, with a vibrant atmosphere and many beautiful colourful houses. Finally, we visit the solitary island of Torcello and its ancient abbey.

Venice always gives something new to the visitor’s eyes, even to those who visited it several times. For example, have you ever been in a “chicchetteria”? There we taste the typical food from the lagoon, paired with some good wine, after a walk among the typical streets of Venice and the visit of the fish market. We also admire the panorama over the city from the bellower of San Giorgio church: on clear days we can also see the Alps!

Finally, the sunset over Canal Grande and the elegant ancient palaces is one of the highlights of the trip.

After the breakfast in hotel, minibus transfer to Venice airport. End of services.
